UVC LED Pool Water Purification Solution

Traditional chlorine disinfection methods produce a pungent odor, skin irritation, and potentially harmful byproducts. UVC LED pool water purification solutions, with their superior performance and unique advantages, are becoming a core technology choice in the modern pool water treatment field, balancing safety, environmental protection, and operational efficiency.

Core pain point analysis

  • Chemical byproducts: Chlorine reacts with organic matter in water (such as sweat, urine, and dander) to produce carcinogenic byproducts such as trihalomethanes, harming swimmers' health.
  • High irritant effect: Excessive chlorine can irritate the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract, causing conjunctivitis, dry and itchy skin, and producing the typical "pool smell."
  • Drug-resistant microorganisms: Some parasites, such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia lamblia, have strong tolerance to chlorine, posing a potential health threat.
  • Complex operation: Precise control of chlorine dosage and strict monitoring of pH levels are required, resulting in high operating and maintenance costs.

UVC LED Solution

Adding a medium-flux UVC LED water sterilizer (in conjunction with a filtration and ozone system) to the pool's circulating water system: Pool water is pumped out and first passes through a sand filter or multi-media filter to remove larger impurities such as suspended particles and hair. Then, the relatively clean water flows into the UVC LED sterilization module. Here, the water is exposed to high-intensity UVC ultraviolet light, instantly inactivating microorganisms in the water. Finally, the physically purified water flows back into the pool. At this point, only a very small amount of chlorine (e.g., 0.2-0.5 ppm) needs to be added as a "maintenance agent" to counteract any new contaminants brought in by swimmers.
