Working Principle & Disinfection Mechanism

UV LED water disinfection modules utilize **UVC ultraviolet light (260-280 wavelength)** emitted by UV LED chips to inactivate microorganisms in flowing water.

How It Kills Bacteria & Viruses

UVC light at 260-280 nm targets the DNA and RNA of bacteria, viruses, protozoa and other pathogens. When microorganisms absorb UVC photons, chemical bonds inside their genetic material break and form thymine dimers. This damages their DNA/RNA structure, disabling their ability to replicate and reproduce. Without the capability to multiply, pathogens lose infectivity and are effectively inactivated.

The module integrates UVC LED chips, optical structure, water flow channel and control circuit. As water flows through the reaction chamber, pathogens inside the water are exposed to sufficient UVC irradiation dose. Continuous disinfection is achieved while water passes through the unit, without adding chemicals or changing water taste.

UVC LED water disinfection modules come with a built-in automatic water flow detection switch. The module only operates when water flows through it. Once water flow stops, the internal UVC LED automatically turns off.

The module is equipped with a service life monitoring function. The indicator light glows blue when the module is working. When the UVC LED approaches end of service life, the indicator light turns red.
